Refund Policy

Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of this Fee Refund Policy is to establish a clear, transparent, and fair framework governing the refund of tuition fees for newly admitted students at NWIHS who withdraw before or shortly after the commencement of classes.

The objectives of this policy are to:

  • Ensure transparency in refund timelines, eligibility criteria, and applicable percentages.
  • Provide a standardized process for submission and processing of refund requests.
  • Align institutional practices with the rules and regulations prescribed by KMU and the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
  • Minimize disputes and ambiguity by clearly defining timelines, conditions, and responsibilities.

Applicability

This policy applies to all newly admitted students enrolled in programs operating under the Semester System at NWIHS.

Refund Eligibility Criteria

Students who formally withdraw from their program after being offered admission but before or shortly after the commencement of classes may be eligible for a refund of tuition fees in accordance with the timelines specified below.

Within 04 days of commencement of Classes/session.

Half (50%) Tuition fee Refund

Within 07 days of the commencement of classes / Session

No Fee (0%) Tuition Refund

After 07 day of commencement of

Classes.

1:  %age of fee shall be applicable on all components of fee, except for admission charges.

2:  Timeline shall be calculated continuously, covering both weekdays and weekends.

Important Conditions

  • The refund request must be submitted in writing to the HOD / Student Affairs officer within the applicable timeframe.
  • The effective date of withdrawal shall be the date on which the written request is formally received by the Institute.
  • Tuition Fee refunds, if approved, will be processed through the official financial channels of the Institute within the prescribed processing period.

General Provisions

  • Students who enroll after regular classes have commenced, and after the fee refund deadline has passed, shall not be eligible for any fee refund, even if the student has not attended the Institute for a single day.
  • The Institute reserves the right to interpret and implement this policy in accordance with its academic regulations and directives issued by the governing body. Until otherwise amended or directed, this policy shall remain in effect as stated.
