1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR HOUSEJOB
  • Minimum eligibility for enrollment in internship program would be 3 Cumulative GPA (CGPA).
2. INCLUSION CRITERIA
  • Merit list will be based on CGPA, No of Attempts for clearance of semester, Internal Evaluation.
  • Internal evaluation will include attendance and discipline of student throughout his/her student life.
  • 10 house officers will be inducted from each discipline i.e., Anesthesiology, Radiology, Medical Lab Technology and Doctor of Physical Therapy.
  • Only current/fresh batch students are eligible for house job program.
  • The induction will take place on yearly basis.
3. EXCLUSION CRITERIA
  • Extra-curricular activities (Sports etc) marks will not be included in the merit.
  • Any student with major reported discipline cases will not be included in the merit list.
  • Fee defaulters who failed to deposit fee for consecutive three months or more after due date in any semester shall not be considered eligible for internship program.
4. MARKS DISTRIBUTION
  • If there is any tie between two or more students with same CGPA and total marks than non-supplementary holders will hold the seat.
  • Marks distribution for the formulation of merit list are as follows:

5. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • 6 months house job at clinical site is compulsory for all selected candidates of either interest (Academic or clinical).

  • The period of house job will be of 6 months, which can be extended for another 6 months based on the candidates performance during the first 6 months.

  • The house officers (HOs) can be placed in any project of AHL as per requirement.

  • The HOs can be called in shifts as per the requirement of the department.

  • The HO can leave the program if they find better opportunities.

  • Institute is not bound to take house officers from students who have already passed out from college and so he/she cannot claim to be on the merit list.

  • This policy will be implemented with effect from the year 2022.

  • The policy is subject to change as per AHL policy on yearly basis.

 

6. HOUSE OFFICER PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
  • Rotation in each ward will be of 2 months

  • Expected level of Competencies must be achieved by the end of rotation in every ward.

  • After completion of rotation, evaluation of HO will be done in the form of grading system mentioned here

CLINICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Level of Competencies to be achieved by the end of rotation in each ward.

    1. Observation

    2. Performed with assistance

    3. Performed part of the procedure under supervision

    4. Performed whole procedure under supervision

    5. Independent performance

 

7. HIRING POLICY
  • The fresh graduates/interns will not be offered the position of a Demonstrator/ Jr.lecturer unless they have worked as Teaching Assistant for one year and their performance is evaluated.

  • Institute is not bound to appoint any house officer for a permanent post in the institute.

 

8. STIPEND

Top 4 students on the basis of merit mentioned above (Heading 4) will be offered stipend of Rs.25000 per month.
