Committees and Clubs
At the Northwest Institute of Health Sciences, we believe that participating in healthy co-curricular activities helps students build their character; stay focused, and navigate through the stresses of daily life.
To ensure the students participation in the co-curricular activities, multiple bodies are established at institute and departmental level, including:
The Curriculum Committee, in collaboration with Khyber Medical University (KMU), plays a pivotal role in overseeing the development, review, and refinement of the academic programs offered by our institute. The committee ensures that the curriculum maintains high standards of quality, relevance, and alignment with contemporary medical education principles. It actively collaborates with KMU to incorporate international best practices and innovative teaching methodologies. The committee also monitors curriculum implementation, evaluates student outcomes, and recommends necessary updates to meet evolving industry demands. Through its dedicated efforts, the Curriculum Committee aims to foster an academic environment that promotes excellence, critical thinking, and lifelong learning among students. This collaborative approach ensures our institute remains at the forefront of medical education, preparing graduates to excel professionally.

To amplify student voices and cultivate a vibrant culture of inquiry and creativity, the Institute is launching a Student E Magazine—a fully digital showcase for the literary, artistic, and scholarly work of our learners across all programs. The platform welcomes opinion pieces, fiction, poetry, investigative articles, photography, illustration and info graphics, ensuring an inclusive space for diverse modes of expression. Submissions are selected through a transparent review process grounded in originality, relevance, and integrity. Guided by a student led editorial board under faculty mentorship, the magazine not only celebrates individual talent but also develops transferable skills in research, writing, editing, multimedia design, and ethical journalism. Contributors receive constructive peer feedback and publication credits that strengthen academic portfolios, while readers gain an engaging window into campus life, innovation, and community service. By documenting achievements and perspectives in real time, the E Magazine enriches institutional memory and fosters a shared sense of belonging, ownership, and pride among students, faculty, alumni, and partners.
