Inspection team of Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) paid visit to Northwest Institute of Health Sciences Ring Road Peshawar on Monday 15th May 2023.
The team included Dr. Anwar-Ullah, Assistant Professor MLT, Khyber Medical University IPMS Peshawar, Ms. Sidra Younas, Monitoring Officer HERA, Abdul Haseeb, Coordinator IPMR and Ms. Mahnoor Mughal, Media Coordinator HERA.
Mr. Afsar Khan, Chief Operating Officer, NWIHS, Dr. Subhan-U-Rehman Burki, Principal NWIHS and Dr. Qurat-ul-Ain received and welcomed the delegates. Faculty and HODs were introduced to the members of inspection team during reception. The delegates were briefed about the launching of two more new technologies-BS Renal Dialysis and BS Respiratory Therapy.
The team inspected the academic, research, information technology, human resource and financial aspects of the institute. They conducted interviews with faculty and made ensured their profiles up to the mark.
Dr. Subhan-U-Rehman, Principal NWIHS briefed the team about the institute strengths including curriculum development, research projects, academic facilities, information technology and future plans.
The institute has state of the art health care facilities including Northwest General Hospital and Northwest Teaching Hospital having 600+ beds capacity. The students of NWIHS are trained in these hospitals and doing relevant health practices there.
The institute offers variety of scholarships each year i.e. merit and need based. Apart from this, NWIHS has been providing various facilities including “Student Lounge, Cafeteria, Indoor Sports, IT Lab, Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and Hostel and Transport facility.

All departments, class rooms, science, skills and IT Labs and lecture rooms and library.
The team expressed great satisfaction upon the required facilities and resources duly provided by Northwest Institute of Health Sciences.
